Tales of the Hamilton Hotel as it turns into the $76.3m Waikato Regional Theatre

Many people know the story of Horace Moore-Jones’ heroism during the fire that razed the former Hamilton Hotel in 1922, sacrificing his life to help others to safety.

Very few know about Mark Servian’s less heroic but remarkably quick-thinking extinguishing of a fire at the same site in 1992.
